The Door Of Adversity

This sermon launches a new series on "Learning How to Process Spiritual Doors," beginning with the door of adversity. Drawing from Paul's experience in 1 Corinthians 16:9, the message emphasizes that great opportunities from God often come with significant opposition. Pastor Jerry challenges believers to make better spiritual decisions by weighing and examining opportunities through God's guidance rather than human understanding. Central to the message is the urgent reality that "minutes matter" - time cannot be recovered, and the spiritual climate demands believers move beyond passive Christianity into active, Holy Spirit-empowered living. The sermon confronts complacency in the church while cultural and spiritual darkness advances, calling for genuine repentance, prayer, and commitment to run the race of faith without stopping. It emphasizes that God's door of opportunity has been open for over 2,000 years, but believers must be spiritually ready to walk through it.
